Abstract

Universal obligatory objective should be established for the limitation of air pollution. The three main sources for emission from the motor vehicle are the exhaust gases from the exhaust system, the unharmed hydrocarbons from the crankcase and the vaporised hydrocarbons from the fuel tank and carburettor. For these sources improvements in the different systems are discussed. For the German translation of this paper see in PB 507. )
