Abstract

The increasing motorisation and traffic congestion has brought about high levels of Suspended Particulate Matter (SPM) in Metro Manila. Constant exposure to high levels of SPM poses a grave health concern to the public, particularly on pedestrians and passengers. The paper estimates the willingness-to-pay of passengers and pedestrians for improved air quality using contingent valuation method. For the covering abstract see ITRD E116619.
