Abstract

This report deals only with internal combustion engine vehicles using liquid fuel. Various chapters are: (1) basis for a future policy concerning emission standards; (2) basic parameters for internal combustion engines and their effects on the emission of pollutants; (3) state of the art of test methods in the EEC; (4) state of the art of test methods outside the EEC; (5) particular lead emission; (6) problems facing the automotive engineer; and (7) programming of standards constraints.
