Abstract
A discussion of associations between alcohol and violence (including road traffic accidents, flying accidents, and other accidental deaths, injuries, and suicide). This paper, which is based on the author's clinical experience, considers the effects of alcohol on the emotions, the conditions which lead to hazardous drinking and its violent consequences, the classification of alcohol related disorders, and the handling of violence due to alcohol.
