Abstract

Between 1970-79 some 800 post mortem examinations on the victims of road traffic accidents occurring in North and West London were performed. In 500 cases the blood alcohol of the victim was measured. The results of these measurements are presented and discussed with respect to the following five accident categories- vehicle drivers, passengers, motorcylists, pedal cyclists and pedestrians.
