Abstract
The essential cause or causes of alcoholism is not known yet completely. Some indications do suspect that enzyme disturbances in the alcohol transposition play causative part. As long as this is uncertain, a causal therapy is not possible. All therapeutic methods remains necessary to the alcoholic if we will give him a chance of return as a social functioning man in our complicated society.
