Abstract

A review is given on the participation in traffic by consumers of alcoholic beverages and tbe number of "drunken accidents". The investigations and results of these are endorsed with critical comments. A survey is given of the measures that have been and are being considered. The most important conclusions are: 1. It has been statistically established that an alcohol content of 0,8% in the blood increases the accident risk as compared to when a driver is sober. 2. lt is useful to exclude alcoholics from traffic.
