Abstract

The influence of alcohol on performance of a driver using a simulator in order to provide data on the components of the driving task when the driver is under the influence of alcohol is examined. The research was conducted in two phases. In the initial experiment 16 subjects were compared in driving skill for two tests in the simulator, some of the subjects drank a certain quantity of alcohol. In phase 2 four additional sub-studies were conducted based on the initial study results.
