Abstract

To determine the presence or absence of alcohol in persons admitted to the emergency service for treatment of home accident injuries, Breathalyzer readings were collected. The results of statistical analyses, significant at the 0.05 level or beyond, indicated that the presence of alcohol on admittance was associated with the reason for admission.
