Abstract

This report is the twenty third progress report of the Committee. Legislation is in operation in Tasmania whereby a first-year driver is prohibited from driving with any alcohol in his body. Following an enquiry as to whether similar legislation could be advantageous to Victoria, the Committee recommends that legislation be introduced making it an offence for any first-year driver to drive a motor vehicle whilst alcohol is present in his body.
