Abstract
In Birmingham,England, during 1980, 119 (20?) of the 589inquests completed veere on people whose deaths veere rela-ted to alcohol consumption. Of 111 deaths due to roadtraffic accidents, 38 (34%) veere alcohol-related; thir-teen of the 38 road traffic victims veere intoxicated pe-dastrians. Of the 96 suicides, 20 (21%) ware related toalcohol. Home accidents (1b5) veere alcohol-related in 19cases (12 ).
