Alcohol in road accidents occurring on Hungarian roads.

Abstract

This paper presents statistical data on road accidents in Hungary for the period between 1960 and 1985, with regard to the number of accidents, number of fatalities, injured road users, type of injuries, age, sex and alcohol blood content. Within the total mortality rate, the proportion of fatalities has increased. Out of these, a significant number was due to road traffic accidents and alcohol.
