Abstract

The paper describes in some detail a set of computer programs based on the Digital Terrain Model (DTM) design system. Additional programs that process terrain data obtained from a pencil follower or the stereoplotter are also decribed. The system enables the highway designer to rapidly evaluate a number of possible designs.
