Abstract

The object of the paper is the proper allocation and pricing of resources in a public transportation system. For convenience this system will be specified as a bus system on its own roads or road lanes. Alternatively it may be a rail system. The important assumption is that delays to automobile traffic from congestion will not affect the public mode under consideration.
