Abstract

When someone is seriously injured in a road traffic crash, in 1 case out of every 6, a family member has to stop working to take care of the victim. Almost 80% of all people seriously injured never fully recover. These facts emerge from the European study MyLAC (My Life After The Crash). Today is the World Day of Remembrance for Road Traffic Victims. On this day, we remember not only the dead, but all road crash victims. We also need to think about the lifelong suffering felt by the victims of road traffic crashes and by their families. (Author/publisher)
