Abstract
With the arrival of the airbag, driving is becoming safer. Despite these and other safety devices, the driver is not invulnerable. This article describes the working of the airbag. It also describes what can go wrong in collisions with airbags, with the interior of the car, like the back seat, and the luggage. It is concluded that there is still room for improvement of airbags. More realistic impact tests should be used, with dressed dummies of different build. Also warnings should be made in using baby/child seats in combination with airbags.
