Abstract

Liquid hydrogen has great potential as an aviation fuel because of its high energy content and cooling capacity, its minimal environmental impact, and its potentially unlimited supply. Its use as a fuel will greatly improve the performance of subsonic and supersonic aircraft. Hydrogen fuel is expected to become cheaper as its use increases.
