Abstract

In light of current concerns involving air quality and predicted hydrocarbon fuel shortages, ammonia may well be a transportation fuel for the future. Ammonia is attractive as a spark-ignition engine fuel because of its potential availability, adaptability to existing engine designs, cost, emissions, safety, and easy storage.
