Abstract

The policy for public transport in thinly populated areas is aimed to maintain the public transport in such a way that it attunes as much as possible with the demand for transport by the population. Different kinds of alternative public transport were introduced, the bell- bus, the bus- taxi, the minibus, the post- bus. The possibilities to develop new alternatives for public transport and to test them in practice should be supported.
