Abstract

In large cities, where numerous public transport operators provide service to a key sector of the population, the integration of routes, schedules and fare arrangements is essential. This paper reviews past integration efforts in Santiago, Caracas, San Francisco and Vancouver, analysing their implementation and suggesting new strategies that will improve both operator and passenger satisfaction.
