Abstract

The primary objective of the study was to evaluate the traffic- related impacts of the deferral of the Kettle- Street- Interchange on the new U.S. Route 220. To evaluate these impacts, a traffic network assignment model was used to forecast highway and development conditions to the year 1995, taking into account the dynamics of land use and population shifts in the Altoona metropolitan area.
