An analusis of fatal accidents on non-metropolitan state highways.

Abstract

Based on average annual daily traffic volumes for the year 1967, the average fatal accident rate on the non-metropole state highways is in the order of 7.1 accidents per 100 million vehicles. In general the rate for the most important highways are below this average. Fatal accidents are presented in tabular form with reference to time of day, type of vehicle, cause, and age of responsible drivers.
