Abstract

Truck crash data were obtained from the records of the Bureau of Motor Carrier Safety for a seven-month period in 1966. Using the approximately 25000 accidents in this data set, we focused upon the identification of variables which are over-represented in crashes involving various levels of crash severity. Two different analytical techniques were used in a preliminary analysis of these data.
