Abstract

It has long been known that accident characteristics vary in association with the age of the drivers involved. Such information can be of use in identifying target groups for countermeasures. To understand the characteristics of accident-involved older drivers, it is essential to examine all age drivers simply so that it is recognised when the older ones deviates from the population norm.
