Abstract

A unified approach is presented to the formulation and solution of a wide variety of analysis, design and control problems in transportation networks. Formulations stressed are those that lead to the solution of large-scale problems of practical use. Areas of application include long-range transportation planning, transportation system management, and traffic engineering.
