Abstract

This study was undertaken to determine the extent to which BAC data are collected on persons involved in fatal traffic crashes, and to recommend appropriate changes in policies and procedures based on the findings. The distributions by BAC of drivers are given for the entire state, and the BAC data collection rate on dead drivers is given by county. Changes in existing policies and procedures are also recommended in order to increase BAC data collection.
