Abstract

This paper describes the findings from initial analyses of the crash experiences of passenger cars (PCs) and light trucks and vans (LTVs) equipped with antilock braking systems (ABS). Separate analyses were conducted for PCs and LTVs. Detailed findings are presented for PCs and LTVs for each type of ABS system, using four individual crash types, and on favorable or unfavorable road surfaces. (A)
