Abstract

This book is a review of literature and research on drunken driving and associated problems including educational and other countermeasures. Seven chapters deal separately with: (1) introduction to the problem and its problems; (2) surveys and descriptions of alcohol-impaired driving and related surveys; (3) characteristics of drinking drivers; (4) countermeasures; (5) measures; (6) a casual path model for alcohol-related accidents; and (7) recommendations for effective countermeasure programs.
