Abstract

Two surveys of representative samples of adults of driving age in Washtenaw County were conducted in 1971 and 1973. The surveys were designed to obtained baseline and comparison data on knowledge, attitudes, and behavior concerning alcohol use and driving-after-drinking. The general impression gained from the survey comparisons is that the WCASAP and its public education and information component had a rather small impact on the drinking and driving habits and beliefs of Washtenaw County residents.
