Analysis of driver's physiological responses on freeway using driver's behavior and response detecting vehicle.

Abstract

The objective of this research is to develop the vehicle that can measure driver's physiological responses and to draw the relationship between driver's physiological factors and behaviors by analyzing driver's physiological responses that are collected from the vehicle. For this purpose, DBDV (Driver's Behavior and Response Detecting Vehicle) was developed for two years and field surveys were performed in order to evaluate stability and sensitivity of the vehicle. Especially in field survey, driver's physiological responses and inertia values of vehicle were collected in various traffic condition and road alignments. For measures of driver's physiological responses, EEG (Electroencephalogram), EOG (Electrooculogram), ECG (Electrocardiogram), EMG (Electromyogram), GSR (Galvanic skin response), SKT (Skin temperature) and PPG (Photoplethysmogram) were used.
