Abstract

Axial compression columns and self aligning wheel designs are discussed. With very few exceptions axial compressions steering systems are failing to operate in their designed mode in serious and fatal injury accidents. The aligning steering systems are generally presenting larger areas for driver's torso impacts in accidents.
