Abstract

The proposed measures emphasize the use of injury-severity levels and an extended set of driver-vehicle-highway descriptors to depict critical factors in National traffic patterns and trends. Conclusions and recommendations address extensions of current indicators to describe accident phenomena by driver and vehicle attributes, to enlarge the number and detail of descriptions of accident data.
