Abstract

This paper examines the accident data on children as passengers in cars in greater detail, and makes comparisons with the Ministry's surveys of children in cars. The purpose of this comparison is to ascertain whether the accident data support the recommendations to use restraint systems where these are available and to move unrestrained children from the front to the rear seat.
