Abstract
High speed cine films of two types of controlled impact investigations undertaken at the Transport and Road Research laboratory have been analysed. The two types considered were off-centre head-on impacts into a massive block and angled impacts into either a massive block or a concrete bridge parapet. The position and rotation of the cars were analysed frame-by-frame, and the results related to the theoretical work by Grime and Jones (1970), see A 8323.
