Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the feasibility of improving driver decision making performance through training. The study consists of several interrelated tasks which includes; identification of critical driving situations and decision making requirements, a review of training techniques and measurement devices with respect to decision making, a training model which was developed and analyzed through a probabilistic policy making cost-benefit model.
