Abstract

In order to determine the state of the art of procedures employed throughout the nation to conduct highway engineering economy studies, reports are reviewed. Results are compared in tabular forms with other reports. Results indicate that there is an increased usage of road-user benefit analysis, annual capital highway costs, accident costs, and highway maintenance cost techniques in the studies.
