Abstract

A simple rational method for the dynamic analysis of vehicle- utility pole impacts has been presented. The results obtained from this analysis are summarized and compared to the data obtained in two full- scale baseline crash tests. Also presented are estimates of injury levels and probabilities of injury for the occupants of the errant vehicles.
