Abstract

This paper presents an analytic equilibrium model that has minimal data and computational requirements and is suitable for use in designing future dial-a-ride systems. The model is used to test the sensitivity of level of service and net operating cost to changes in demand model parameters and fares. Result demonstrate the important effects of decisions such as fleet size, service area etc.
