Abstract

Newly developed finite-element brain models of a small primate, a baboon and a human, are used to simulate animal and cadaver head impact tests. Response measures of these three-dimensional models are compared to measured brain displacements and recorded pressures. Brain displacements are found to be small, and pressure response is quickly damped.
