Abstract

The establishment in the law of a limit of 0.5 pro mille alcohol in the blood as an objective norm for the criminal liability of vehicle drivers, has placed a major part of the burden of the proof in the hands of the analytical chemist. Formulation and testing of the regulations and requirements including experimental research and suggesting recommendations for the execution of the law, were assigned to an analytical committee composed of the 4 authors who report on their work in this article.
