Abstract

An overview is given of basis techniques used in analyzing motion data obtained from high frame rate cameras. The methods outlined are quite useful in obtaining motion data from vehicle impact tests. The accuracy of the techniques is limited by the validity of the assumptions. Fortunately, motions of interest are approximately two-dimensional in most vehicle impact tests.
