Abstract

The most complex tests involve complete vehicles- impacts between vehicles, impacts with a fixed concrete barrier. Impacts with poles or guardrails, and moving barrier- to- car impacts.High frame- rate motion picture cameras are used in all of these tests. In addition, a quantitative analysis may be made of the motion of dummy occupants or vehicle components. This paper will concentrate on the techniques used to make these quantitative measurements.
