Abstract

Results of impacts inflected upon pedestrians by vehicles are studied with the aim to lessen, as far as possible, the extent of the damage that they can cause by modifying the form and structure of the car. The report presented here only takes into account data concerning the first phase of the impact, which is when the bumper comes into contact with the lower limb and the bonnet with the pelvis belt.
