The technical developments and advances of engineering animation and simulation provide valuable support in the training of medical/trauma personnel and in the investigation and reconstruction of automotive accidents. Animation, if applied with proper methodology, can be admissible in court. The technology of animation and simulation is rapidly changing. Trauma specialists and other emergency personnel have used animation for improved assessment and care in critical trauma units. Also in court are precedent-setting cases, establishing the guidelines for use of animation in medical and automotive-personal injury cases. Recent applications are demonstrated.
