Abstract
Statistical data dealing with the transport situation in Europe during 1981 are presented. Topics covered are estimates of population and area of country, relative importance of principal modes of transport, railway passenger traffic and transport, length of roads, new vehicles registered during the year, total and international road traffic and fuel consumption by road motor vehicles.
