1: A one-year study of emergency room admissions shows that 47 per cent are patients under 14 years of age. 2: One out of four of these children seek medical advice because of an event involving violence, poisoning or accident. 3: If progress is to be made in reducing the appalling mortality per year (16,368) attention must be sharply focused on the prevention of as many of the 15.000.000 childhood accidents as possible. 4: Some suggestions directed toward prevention have been made, primarily with regard to technological educational
