Anthropometry of seated women during pregnancy : defining a fetal region for crash protection research.

Abstract

An anthropometric description of seated women at various stages of pregnancy was developed. Body regions representing major load paths for side-impact protection research are determined. A fetal ellipse that augments a previously reported description of five major body regions of seated occupants of various sizes is identified.
