Abstract

Survival techniques for a randonneur, a long distance bicycle rider, are discussed. They include suggestions concerning: night lights, mudguards, dogs, children, riding on the wrong side of the road, pot holes, gratings; gravel surfaces, the environment, and highway restriction of bicyclists.
