Abstract

A digital modulator to command a carrier wave for an a-synchronous motor, responding to constraints imposed by a chain of traction for an electric vehicle (fed by continuous fixed tension) is described. The choice has been influences by the modulation in width of impulses. The forms of the waves are generated by a microprocessor, which makes it possible to have a wide choice in the tension wave. The microprocessor is also used for other auxiliary tasks.
