Abstract
Origin and destination surveys, traffic assignment studies, vehicle simulation and operating costs, evaluation of large scale traffic surveys, and simulation of traffic by electronic computers are discussed. A short description of the evaluation of the origin and destination data of the Pretoria, Witwatersrand, Vereeniging are traffic and transportation survey is given. Some data on possible savings in cost and/or time are given.
